Giovanni Nuti, born August 21, 1964, in Viareggio, Italy, is a singer-songwriter and composer known for blending pop, indie pop, and poetic lyrics. With nine albums to his name, he’s collaborated with Italian greats like Lucio Dalla, Enrico Ruggeri, and Roberto Vecchioni, and his work often draws from literary figures—like his 2017 album *Il Muro Degli Angeli (Il canzoniere di Alda Merini)*, inspired by poet Alda Merini, and his 2010 project *Rasoi di Seta* setting her verses to music. His 2019 single *Sputi sull'anima* and multilingual tributes to Georges Moustaki reveal a flair for emotional, genre-crossing storytelling.
Nuti’s style balances introspective themes with melodic hooks, from early 1990s tracks like *Non è poesia* (Sanremo 1991) to recent cinematic collaborations like *Lirica antica* from the Alda Merini documentary.
