The New Seekers

The New Seekers are a British-based pop group, originally formed in 1969, whose harmonious sound captured the essence of the early 1970s. Best known for their global hit, "I'd Like to Teach the World to Sing (In Perfect Harmony)", which served as the soundtrack for a memorable Coca-Cola advertisement, the group achieved widespread acclaim and commercial success. Initially created by Keith Potger after the disbandment of his former group, The Seekers, The New Seekers quickly carved out their own niche in the music world with their blend of melodic pop and folk influences.

Throughout their career, The New Seekers demonstrated a remarkable versatility and adaptability, never shying away from covering contemporary hits or experimenting with different musical styles, as shown by their diverse range of performances on "The Ed Sullivan Show" in the early 70s. Their rendition of songs like "Look What They've Done to My Song, Ma", "Your Song", and "Beautiful People" showcased their vocal harmonies and interpretive abilities, making them a household name on both sides of the Atlantic. Despite numerous lineup changes over the years, The New Seekers have left a lasting legacy on the pop and folk music scene, remembered for their optimistic tunes and the joyful spirit their music conveyed.
