Jan van der Roost
Jan van der Roost is a Belgian composer and conductor known for his contributions to wind band music. Born in 1956, he studied at the Royal Conservatory of Antwerp and has since become one of the most respected composers in the wind band world. His compositions are characterized by their melodic beauty, rhythmic vitality, and rich harmonies, and have been performed by wind bands and orchestras around the globe. Van der Roost has also served as the principal conductor of the Royal Flemish Philharmonic and the Flanders Symphony Orchestra, and has received numerous awards and accolades for his work.
