Suprême NTM, often simply known as NTM, is one of the most iconic and influential hip-hop groups in France. Formed in the late 1980s, the duo is made up of rappers JoeyStarr (Didier Morville) and Kool Shen (Bruno Lopes). Known for their raw energy, politically charged lyrics, and streetwise charisma, NTM brought French rap to the forefront of the music scene with classic albums like "Paris Sous Les Bombes" and "Suprême NTM." Their music tackles social issues such as police brutality, racism, and life in France’s banlieues (suburbs), resonating with a generation and helping shape the identity of French hip-hop.
Although the group officially disbanded in the early 2000s, they reunited for several reunion tours and live performances, reminding fans of their lasting place in the cultural landscape.
