Luboš Malina

Luboš Malina is a renowned Czech musician, celebrated particularly for his exceptional banjo playing skills. Born on January 27, 1959, in Náchod, Czech Republic, he has been deeply influenced by bluegrass music, drawing inspiration from legends like Larry McNeely and Earl Scruggs. Malina is not only a skilled banjoist but also a multi-instrumentalist, proficient in playing winds, clarinet, kaval, tárogató, saxophone, mandolin, and guitar.

As a prominent figure in the Czech bluegrass scene, Luboš Malina co-founded the band Druha Trava (Second Grass) with Robert Krestan in 1991. He has also released several solo albums, including **Piece of Cake** (1999), **Dueling Fingers** (2005), **Afterparty** (2004), and **Fragile Bliss** (2015).
