Ponte del Diavolo

Ponte del Diavolo is an Italian band known for blending doom metal, black metal, and darkwave elements into their unique sound. They formed approximately four years ago, just before the 2020 lockdown, and quickly released their debut EP *Mystery of Mystery* in March 2020. Following this, they produced *Sancta Menstruis* and *Ave Scintilla!* in a short span, demonstrating their prolific output despite the challenging circumstances of the pandemic. As soon as live performances became feasible, they actively toured and eventually signed with Season of Mist. Their debut album, *Fire Blades From The Tomb*, marks a significant milestone, showcasing their distinctive style that incorporates unexpected instrumentation like synth and theremin.

The band's eclectic sound is further characterized by the presence of two bassists, creating a dense rhythmic foundation for their dark, dynamic compositions. Lead vocalist Erba del Diavolo brings a strong darkwave influence to the lyrics, which span themes from mass extinction to love and death. Ponte del Diavolo has received considerable attention for their energetic live performances, including notable shows at festivals like the House of the Holy in Austria. They are set to continue their touring activities, taking their unique blend of doom and black metal to European festivals and concerts in the coming year.
