Joe Magnarelli

Joe Magnarelli is a gifted jazz trumpeter who has been a mainstay on the New York jazz scene since the late 1980s. Known for his warm tone and hard bop sensibility, he’s played with some of the biggest names in jazz, including Lionel Hampton, Brother Jack McDuff, and Harry Connick, Jr. A native of Syracuse, New York, Magnarelli moved to NYC to study at the Manhattan School of Music and quickly established himself as a versatile and in-demand performer.

Over the years, Joe has released a string of well-regarded albums as a bandleader and continues to captivate audiences with his lyrical phrasing and straight-ahead jazz approach. Whether playing in small combos or big band settings, his style reflects both reverence for the jazz tradition and a personal, expressive voice that sets him apart.
