Emmanuel Siffert

Emmanuel Siffert is a Swiss conductor born on November 1, 1967, in Fribourg, Switzerland. He is known for his dynamic career leading orchestras across the globe, including his current role as Principal Conductor and Artistic Director of the National Chamber Orchestra of Chile. His broad experience spans conducting symphony orchestras, opera, and ballet companies, including notable stints with the English National Ballet, Teatro Colón in Buenos Aires, and the European Chamber Opera in London. Siffert studied violin under Sandor Végh in Salzburg and conducting with renowned maestros such as Carlo Maria Giulini. He has won the conducting prize twice at the Schweizerischen Tonkünstlenverein and regularly collaborates with orchestras across Europe, South America, and beyond.
