Yomo

Jose Alberto Torres Abreu, better known by his stage name Yomo, is a Puerto Rican reggaeton recording artist. Born on June 17, 1980, in Chicago, Illinois, Yomo grew up in the small town of Humacao on the east coast of Puerto Rico. His childhood experiences, particularly those from his time in the barrio or slums, heavily influenced his music and the gritty, real-world narratives he often presents in his lyrics.

Emerging onto the scene as a protege of reggaeton veterans Don Omar and Hector El Father, Yomo has since carved out his own niche within the Latin urban genre. His career took a significant leap forward with his debut studio album "My Destiny" in 2008, which spawned hits like "Déjale Caer To' el Peso."
