**Catherine Ribeiro + Alpes** was a French band formed in 1968, led by the distinctive voice of Catherine Ribeiro and the compositional talents of Patrice Moullet. The group evolved from an earlier incarnation called **Catherine Ribeiro + 2Bis**, with their first album under this name released in 1969. Their music blended elements of folk, psychedelic rock, and avant-garde styles, often addressing political and social themes through Catherine Ribeiro's powerful and expressive lyrics. Over the years, the band's lineup changed frequently, but Ribeiro and Moullet remained the core members. Some of their notable albums include *N°2* (1970), *Âme debout* (1971), *Paix* (1972), and *Le Rat débile et l'Homme des champs* (1974). The band disbanded in 1981.
