Koňaboj

Koňaboj is a Moravian music group that blends folk-rock and world music, founded in 2002 in Vyškov. They are known for their energetic interpretations of traditional Moravian and Slovak folk songs with a rock twist. The band gained early recognition by winning the folk festival Zahrada in Náměšť na Hané in 2003. Their discography includes albums like *Já sa koňa bojím* (2004), *Omalovánky* (2006), and *Zdálo sa ně, zdálo* (2011), all released under Indies Records or Indies Scope. Koňaboj has experienced periods of hiatus and lineup changes but continues to perform and create music, including their 2017 single *Hradišťu, Hradišťu*.

The band's current lineup includes David Řehák, Jiřka Šánová, Milan Šána, Martin Kovář, Miloslav "Kocór" Kocourek, and Jaroslav Cabal. Their music often features a variety of instruments, including guitars, violins, and flutes, creating a rich and dynamic sound that reflects their folk-rock roots. Despite periods of inactivity, Koňaboj remains a significant part of the Czech folk-rock scene, known for their lively performances and unique musical style.
