Key Wane, born Dwane Marshall Weir II on July 12, 1990, is a Detroit-based hip hop and R&B producer and songwriter who's made a big splash in the music industry. He got his start playing piano in church at age 11 and later honed his craft making beats on a Casio keyboard. Key Wane's big break came through his friendship with rapper Big Sean, whom he met in high school. Since then, he's produced hits for major artists like Drake, Beyoncé, and Meek Mill.
Known for his soulful, piano-driven sound, Key Wane has racked up some impressive credits. He produced Drake's "All Me," Beyoncé's "Partition," and Big Sean's "IDFWU," among many others. In 2012, he graduated from Tennessee State University with a degree in Musical Arts and Sciences, the same year he started collaborating with big-name artists.
