Stevie Agnew

Born into Scottish rock royalty, Stevie Agnew is the son of Pete Agnew, the bassist from legendary band Nazareth. Growing up in such a musical family, Stevie was surrounded by music from an early age, and it shows in his natural, unforced rootsy style—he’s a killer guitarist with raw, expressive vocals who puts a unique stamp on his storytelling. Instead of chasing the hard rock sound of his dad’s band, Stevie found his own voice in Americana, channeling influences from artists like Steve Earle and Bruce Springsteen, often exploring blue-collar themes in his lyrics.

Stevie’s debut album, *Wreckin’ Yard*, was hailed as one of the strongest Americana debuts out of Scotland, packed with memorable tunes and emotional depth, most of them co-written and produced with Chris Smith. His follow-up work, including *Bad Blood and Whiskey*, has only upped the ante—showing off a wise, grizzled voice and a knack for country-folk anthems with a Celtic twist. Stevie’s band, Hurricane Road, brings together a talented group of musicians, and together they’ve built a loyal following, live and on record, for their honest, heartfelt take on roots music.
