Ronan Tynan

Ronan Tynan is an Irish tenor singer and former Paralympic athlete whose commanding voice and remarkable life story have inspired audiences around the world. Born in Dublin on May 14, 1960, Tynan overcame the challenges posed by a congenital lower limb disability and became the first person with a disability ever admitted to the National College of Physical Education in Limerick. A multi-talented individual, he not only earned a medical degree specializing in orthopedic sports injuries but also became an accomplished horseman and a record-breaking athlete, winning multiple gold medals and setting records at the Paralympic Games.

As a musician, Ronan Tynan gained international fame as one of the original members of the Irish Tenors, a group that became a household name and brought Irish traditional music and classic pop standards to a global audience. Tynan has released several solo albums that showcase his powerful operatic voice, including the emotive "Marie Colvin: Lament for a War Correspondent" and the spirited "I'll Be Home for Christmas." His repertoire, which often centers around themes of resilience and the triumph of spirit, includes the stirring renditions of "The Dawning Of The Day," and the aspirational "The Impossible Dream." "Ronan" and "My Life Belongs To You" further underscore his commitment to exploring both personal and universal themes through his music. Tynan's ability to connect with listeners through his music and motivational speaking has made him an enduring presence both in concert halls and as a compelling speaker.
