Rabbath Electric Orchestra

Rabbath Electric Orchestra is the collaborative project of legendary double bass virtuoso François Rabbath and his son Sylvain Rabbath, who plays piano and synths. Drawing on decades of musical experience and six years of touring the world together, they create a unique blend of jazz, funk, Middle Eastern classical influences, and electronic textures. Their music is deeply inspired by the diverse cultures and landscapes they've encountered on their travels, turning those experiences into rich, atmospheric compositions.

François Rabbath is a pioneering figure in the double bass world since the 1960s, known for his innovative playing and teaching methods, as well as his work with iconic singers like Édith Piaf and Charles Aznavour. Sylvain grew up immersed in this musical environment and developed his own voice on piano and keyboards, joining his father on stages worldwide. Their album "Amall" showcases this multi-generational collaboration, featuring lush arrangements with contributions from renowned musicians and an evocative mix of acoustic and electric sounds that combine storytelling with jazz sophistication.
