We Are Knuckle Dragger

We Are Knuckle Dragger is a dynamic English/Northern Irish rock band formed in 2008 in Newcastle. The band originally consisted of vocalist/guitarist Aran Glover, bassist Pete Currie, and drummer Shaun Abbott. Their genre is a blend of post-hardcore, mathcore, and avant-garde metal, reflecting their innovative and progressive approach to music. We Are Knuckle Dragger gained recognition with their debut album *Tit for Tat* in 2012, recorded by the renowned Steve Albini, known for his work with influential bands like Shellac and Big Black. This album was critically acclaimed for its raw, discordant sound, drawing comparisons to early mathcore and noise rock. They also released *The Drone* in 2013, produced by Ross Robinson, showcasing their continued exploration of complex musical structures.

Over the years, the band has shared stages with prominent acts like Meshuggah, Animals as Leaders, and The Dillinger Escape Plan, and performed at festivals such as Reading & Leeds. Unfortunately, Aran Glover passed away in 2018, but his legacy lives on through the band's impactful discography. Pete Currie and Shaun Abbott continue to be part of the band, maintaining its energetic and creative essence.
