George Tossikian

George Tossikian is a highly acclaimed Greek guitarist known for his creative and talented performances. Born in 1981 in Piraeus to an Armenian father and a Pontian Greek mother, he studied guitar under Iakovos Kolanian at the Contemporary Music Education Conservatory of Athens, graduating in 2004 with a unanimous First Class Diploma. Tossikian has been active in the music scene since 2005, giving recitals and participating in festivals both in Greece and internationally. He has collaborated with notable figures such as composer George Varsamakis and guitarist Notis Mavroudis.

Tossikian's discography reflects his diverse musical interests, including albums like "Guitar Music by Greek Composers," "Mosaic," and more recently, "Pujol: Cuatro Argentinas" and "Tiersen: La plage, Arrangements for Guitar". His performances are praised for their technical precision and emotional depth, making him one of the most remarkable young guitarists in his generation. He teaches classical guitar at several conservatories, further cementing his role in the musical community.
