SMJ

SMJ, whose real name is Samuel Giveson, is a talented Nigerian music producer, drummer, keyboardist, and music director known for his work with Tim Godfrey and The Extreme Crew. Born and raised in Lagos but originally from Akwa-Ibom State, SMJ developed a passion for music early on, starting to play drums at age three and keyboard at five without formal schooling, guided instead by mentors and church choirs. His stage name originated from being called Samuel Junior by friends, and it was shortened to SMJ when he joined Tim Godfrey's group The Extreme Crew. Over time, he grew from a youth choir player to a signed member of the team known as Rox Nation, blending his deep love of music with his faith and motivation to inspire others.

SMJ’s style spans gospel, hip-hop, and rap, with recent tracks reflecting a modern sound and strong creative vision. His music includes songs like "Box Chevy," "YINGYANG," "NDA," and "Queen Shi," showcasing his versatility as an artist. Besides producing and performing, he has a reputation for being a multi-instrumentalist and choir director who brings a rich musicality to his projects.
