Six Feet Under

Six Feet Under is an American death metal band that formed in 1993 in Tampa, Florida. The band was initially a side project for Cannibal Corpse vocalist Chris Barnes and Obituary guitarist Allen West, but Six Feet Under became a full-fledged and pioneering act in the death metal scene. The band is known for their distinctive sound that merges the aggressive elements of death metal with groove-laden riffs, creating a style that appeals to a broad range of heavy music fans. Throughout their career, the band's lyrical content has revolved around themes of horror, death, and the macabre, which complement their ominous and heavy musical style.

Over the years, Six Feet Under has released a consistent stream of albums and has undergone several lineup changes with Barnes being the constant member. Their discography features a mix of original material and cover albums, titled "Graveyard Classics," where the band puts their own spin on songs by metal icons. "Nightmares of the Decomposed" (2020) is their most recent studio album and continues to showcase the band's evolution while retaining their signature brutal and groovy sound. Six Feet Under has garnered a loyal following over the decades, and their tours attract fans eager to experience their intense live performances. Despite lineup shifts and the evolving metal landscape, Six Feet Under continues to be a bedrock in the genre, and their back catalog, inclusive of records like "Undead" (2012), "Unborn" (2013), and "Crypt of the Devil" (2015), remains revered within the metal community.
