Michal Martyniuk

Michal Martyniuk is a talented jazz pianist and composer originally from Szczecin, Poland, who relocated to New Zealand as a teenager. There, he earned a degree in Jazz Performance from Auckland University and has since built a global career marked by his melodic, harmonically rich compositions and dynamic live performances. Martyniuk’s music combines thoughtful improvisation with accessible songwriting, aiming to resonate emotionally with diverse audiences beyond traditional jazz listeners. His debut album, *Nothing To Prove*, recorded in Poland, showcases his fluid piano work and collaborative band arrangements that blend lyrical melodies with engaging rhythms and textures. He continues to develop his sound with releases like *Resonate* and has garnered international recognition, including placing second in the Made in NY Jazz Competition judged by jazz luminaries such as Lenny White and Mike Stern.
