Sports (often stylized as “SPORTS”) is an American indie rock band originally from Gambier, Ohio. The group emerged from the close-knit, college-based town music community. Early on, they crafted their sound in student housing and small-town venues while members attended Kenyon College. Sports' music is characterized by energetic and catchy melodies, emotionally raw lyrics, and lo-fi production aesthetics, which quickly garnered them an avid following among fans of the DIY and indie rock scenes.

Their notoriety further expanded with the release of their later works which showcase the band's evolution in songwriting and musical composition. "The End of Sports - Demos (Demons)," as the name suggests, offers a raw and affecting collection of demo tracks that peel back the layers of their creative process.
