Onheil is a blackened metal band from the Netherlands, officially formed in November 1999 by founding member Amok. Starting out with raw black and death metal, the band quickly made a name for themselves with demos like "Sterf" and "We Hebben De Hel Gezien," earning strong acclaim in the Dutch and Belgian metal scenes. Their sound evolved over the years, blending thrash, melodic death, and black metal elements, especially on their latest album "In Black Ashes" (2023), which showcases a technically skilled lineup including three guitarists and dual harsh vocalists delivering blackened shrieks and death growls. Known for their intense energy and melodic riffing, Onheil has shared stages with notable metal acts across Europe, solidifying their status in the extreme metal community.
