Ketchup Mania

Ketchup Mania is a Japanese band known for blending cute, pop-sounding vocals with a punk-rock sound. Formed in October 1999 in Nagoya, the band initially consisted of Hiro (vocals), Dai (guitar), and Fanfan (bass), along with a supporting member, Maashii. Over the years, the lineup changed, with notable members including Yosei on bass and Wani on drums. Ketchup Mania gained recognition for their energetic performances and catchy songs like "Hime no Omoi," which became a Grand Prix song on ZIP-FM's "Rokkudi Vision Z" program. They released several albums, including "Greetings From Tokyo" in 2006 and "U-R-G-E" and "L-O-V-E" in 2007. Their music was featured in anime, such as "Itaden Jump," with the song "Your World" being used as an opening theme. The band disbanded in 2009.

Ketchup Mania's music style is characterized by short, high-energy tracks, often combining grunge elements with pop vocals. Their discography includes albums like "FLAG" in 2008 and singles such as "Namida Vacuum Sound" and "Jingleberry." The band's members went on to pursue other projects after disbanding, with Hiro joining Cat Loves Strawberries and Yosei joining Na-No. Despite their relatively short career, Ketchup Mania left a mark on the Japanese music scene with their unique sound and lively performances.
