Antipeewee

Antipeewee is a German thrash metal band based in Abensberg, Bavaria, formed in 2006. The band traces its origins back to a birthday party where singer Philipp Schnepka and bassist Alexander Schott first met. Initially, they started out playing punk covers before shifting toward a heavier, thrash metal sound to meet their own rising creative ambitions and step away from the limitations of their earlier style. The name “Antipeewee” is a playful, self-destructive twist on the nickname “PeeWee” of their vocalist, reflecting the band’s blend of energy and self-irony.

Over the years, Antipeewee has cemented itself as a key player in the New Wave of German Thrash Metal, known for energetic live shows and a strong underground following. Albums like “Human Grill Party,” “Madness Unleashed,” and “Infected by Evil” showcase their riff-driven, mythos-steeped sound—especially drawing on the Cthulhu mythos as thematic inspiration. The band’s lineup has evolved but consistently includes driving guitars and powerful rhythms, and they’ve shared stages with notable acts like Six Feet Under and Dr. Living Dead! While signed to This Charming Man Records, Antipeewee continues to release new material and tour, celebrating both the roots and rebellious spirit of thrash metal.
