Los Tres

Los Tres are a seminal Chilean rock band that emerged from Concepción and gained widespread popularity in Latin America and beyond in the early 1990s. The band consists of Álvaro Henríquez (vocals and guitar), Roberto Lindl (bass), Ángel Parra (guitar), and initially, Francisco Molina (drums) who was later replaced by Manuel Basualdo. Los Tres adeptly blend rock with elements of Chilean folk music, creating a distinct sound that incorporates Latin rhythms and thoughtful lyricism. Their music often reflects social and political commentary, wrapped in poetic introspection and biting humor.

Throughout their career, Los Tres have maintained a dedicated fan base, thanks to their innovative approach to music and powerful live performances. They achieved critical acclaim and commercial success with albums such as "La espada & la pared" and the influential "Unplugged" record, which showcased their ability to strip down their songs to an acoustic format. After a hiatus in the early 2000s, the band reformed and continued to release new material and captivate audiences with their electric live shows, as evidenced in their more recent live albums like "Los Tres Unplugged 20 Años" and "Rarezas (En Vivo)." Their work remains a treasured cornerstone of Latin American rock, and with their 2023 release of "Hojas de té," Los Tres show they still hold the passion and creativity that made them icons.
