They gained significant recognition in 2000 with their hit single "Esperando na Janela," which became a staple of Brazilian pop-rock and was featured in the TV Globo novela *Laços de Família*. The song's success was monumental, staying in the Top 10 of all Brazilian radio stations for six months and earning a double diamond certification for over 2.5 million units sold. The band's debut album, *Biblioteca de Sonhos*, was also well-received, achieving gold certification. Over the years, Cogumelo Plutão has experienced periods of hiatus and return, with notable contributions to various soundtracks and collaborations.
