Silvàn Areg

Silvàn Areg, born Sylvain Hagopian on May 18, 1979, in Clermont-Ferrand, France, is an artist of Armenian descent. He began his musical journey in the Lyon region, initially involved in rap collectives like Da Bronx and Tapis Versatile. Under the pseudonym Casus Belli, he released several mixtapes and collaborated with notable artists. After a hiatus, during which he worked as a physical education teacher, Silvàn Areg returned to music in 2016, adopting the name Caz B for pop-urban projects before settling on Silvàn Areg in 2018. This name change coincided with his participation in "Destination Eurovision" with the song "Allez leur dire," which was initially titled "Le Petit Nicolas" before a title change due to copyright issues. Silvàn Areg has since released a variety of albums and singles, including "Sur le fil" and more recent works like "PIANO PIANO" and "AREVIG."

Silvàn Areg's career is marked by versatility, transitioning from rap to pop and collaborating with artists like Claudio Capéo, for whom he wrote the hit song "Un homme debout." His music often reflects his Armenian heritage and his experiences in the French music scene. With a diverse discography and a knack for blending styles, Silvàn Areg continues to engage audiences with his unique sound and energetic performances.
