Knocked Loose is an American hardcore punk band hailing from Oldham County, Kentucky, that has been tearing through the underground music scene with their aggressive and unapologetically heavy sound. Formed in 2013, the band consists of lead vocalist Bryan Garris, guitarists Isaac Hale and Nicko Calderon, drummer Kevin Kaine, and bassist Kevin Otten. Known for their pulverizing riffs and Garris's visceral screams, the band has quickly carved out a name for themselves in the hardcore scene.
The band emerged with their debut EP, "Pop Culture," in 2014, attracting attention for its raw intensity and ferocity. They built on this momentum with the release of their first full-length album, "Laugh Tracks," in 2016, solidifying their position as one of the new heavyweights in hardcore. Knocked Loose's sophomore album, "A Different Shade of Blue" released in 2019, showcased a relentless evolution in their sound, with potentially more complex arrangements and an undeniable heft. Between these, the band released the gritty "Mistakes Like Fractures" EP in 2019, delving even deeper into darker themes. Their most recent conceptual EP, "A Tear in the Fabric of Life," released in 2021, represents yet another bold step in their artistic journey, offering a cinematic horror narrative woven within their signature punishing sound. With consistent touring and their relentless output, Knocked Loose continues to be a driving force in the hardcore community, known not just for their music, but for the intense, energetic live shows that bring their visceral tracks to life.
