maudlin of the Well

Maudlin of the Well was an avant-garde metal band from Boston, Massachusetts. Formed in 1996, the group released three full-length albums before initially disbanding in 2003. Their music blended elements from diverse genres including jazz, progressive rock, psychedelic rock, doom metal, and ambient music.

The band's core lineup consisted of Jason Byron, Greg Massi, and Toby Driver, with various other musicians contributing over the years. After their breakup, Maudlin of the Well reunited in 2009 to record and release a new album titled "Part the Second", which was funded through fan donations and made available as a free download.
