Qari Abdul Basit Abdul Samad

Qari Abdul Basit Abdul Samad was an Egyptian Quranic reciter who gained worldwide fame for his melodious and powerful voice. Born in 1927 in a village near Luxor, Egypt, he memorized the entire Quran by age 10 and began leading prayers at local mosques. Known for his unique style and ability to recite in the seven canonical modes of Quran recitation, Abdul Basit became one of the most influential and beloved Quranic reciters of the 20th century.

Throughout his career, Abdul Basit traveled extensively, reciting the Quran in mosques and Islamic centers around the world.
