Skin, born Deborah Anne Dyer on August 3, 1967, in Brixton, South London, is a multifaceted British artist known for her powerful vocals and striking presence. She rose to fame as the lead singer of the rock band Skunk Anansie in the mid-1990s, becoming a prominent figure in the Britrock movement. Beyond her rock career, Skin has established herself as a solo artist, fashion icon, DJ, actress, and activist.

After Skunk Anansie's initial split, Skin embarked on a solo career, releasing her debut album "Fleshwounds" and later "Fake Chemical State". She has since expanded her musical repertoire, venturing into electronic music and collaborating with artists like Paolo Buonvino on tracks such as "Renaissance" for the TV series "Medici: Masters of Florence". Skin's versatility as an artist is evident in her work across various genres and her involvement in projects ranging from judging on the Italian version of "The X Factor" to being featured in prominent music magazines.
