Caesars

Caesars, also known as Caesars Palace in Sweden, is a Swedish indie rock band that hails from Stockholm, formed in 1995. The group initially consisted of César Vidal (lead vocals, guitar), Joakim Åhlund (guitar, vocals, keyboards), David Lindqvist (bass guitar), and Jens Örjenheim (drums, who was later replaced by Nino Keller). Known for their energetic guitar riffs and catchy melodies, Caesars gained international acclaim with the release of their hit single "Jerk It Out," which gained further popularity when featured in an iPod commercial as well as various video games.

The band's album "Strawberry Weed," a double album showcase of their garage rock prowess, was released in 2008 and is one of their most significant works to date. It further solidified their place in the indie rock scene with its eclectic mix of pop melodies and rock sensibilities. Over the years, their sound has evolved from a raw, garage-influenced style to a more refined production without losing the edgy essence of their music. Titles like "Paper Tigers" exhibit their ability to balance sonic experimentation with accessible pop hooks, making them a staple in the mid-2000s alternative rock sphere. Despite not achieving continuous mainstream success, their discography has retained a cult following and their songs continue to resonate with new generations of rock enthusiasts.
