Saint Leonard is the artistic moniker of Kieran Leonard, a London-born musician and author who has carved out a distinctly adventurous path through the music world. Starting his career as Kieran Leonard in 2012 with the home-recorded debut *Out of Work Astronaut*—which earned a spot on BBC London's Albums of the Year—he later transitioned to recording under the Saint Leonard banner with his 2016 album *Good Luck Everybody*. That sophomore effort, recorded at Childwickbury Manor (the former estate of Stanley Kubrick), showcased Leonard's maximalist approach to songmaking and cemented his reputation as an extraordinarily talented and adventurous artist, with BBC 6 Music's Tom Robinson calling the work "brilliant, adventurous music."
Leonard continues to push creative boundaries with an approach that prioritizes originality above all else, constantly asking himself whether each musical idea is genuinely new and undeniably good. His most recent album *The Golden Hour* arrived in 2025, marking another chapter in his evolving artistic journey. Beyond music, Leonard is also an author, having published *A Muse* through Hyperidean Press. Throughout his career, he's collaborated with visionary figures and remained committed to creating work that defies easy categorization, whether through unexpected studio sessions in Berlin or ambitious recording projects that challenge both him and his listeners.
