Piebald

Piebald are an American rock band from Andover, Massachusetts, best known for their upbeat, hooky take on emo/indie rock that helped shape the late-’90s/early-2000s scene. The group formed in the mid-1990s, with vocalist/guitarist Travis Shettel and drummer Jon “Jonty” Morrison as key members, and they developed a reputation for smart, energetic songwriting that balanced heartfelt lyrics with a sense of fun.

After early releases on labels like Big Wheel Recreation and later Hopeless Records, Piebald hit a high point with albums like *If It Weren’t for Venetian Blinds, It Would Be Curtains for Us All* (2002) and *We Are the Only Friends We Have* (2002), which became fan favorites for their big choruses and emotional punch. Though they announced a farewell in 2007 and played final shows around 2008, they later reunited for performances and continued to celebrate their catalog with reissues and live releases.
