The Bontrager Family Singers are a tight-knit musical group from the Midwest, blending elements of bluegrass and Southern Gospel into their performances. The family, consisting of parents Marlin and Becky and their children, have a notable touring history, spending several months each year traveling across North America in their bus to perform at various venues including churches, festivals, and prisons. Their music is characterized by the use of a variety of instruments such as piano, violin, guitar, and harmonica, and is infused with a strong evangelical message.
The Bontrager family often splits their time between touring and managing their farm in Iowa, where they engage in livestock and crop farming. They began singing together during family devotions and gradually developed into a band that performs at numerous locations, inspired by their faith to spread the love of Jesus through music. With a dynamic mix of traditional and contemporary Christian music, they have released several albums and maintain an active touring schedule.
