Pylon was an American post-punk band formed in Athens, Georgia in 1979. The band consisted of Michael Lachowski (vocals, guitar), Vanessa Briscoe Hay (vocals, bass), Randy Bewley (guitar), and Curtis Crowe (drums). Pylon's music was characterized by its angular guitars, driving rhythms, and detached vocals. The band released three albums during its lifetime: "Gyrate" (1980), "Chiswick Park" (1981), and "Chain" (1983). Pylon disbanded in 1983, but reunited in 1990 and continued to perform and record until 2009.
