Javotti Media

Javotti Media is an independent record label and creative platform founded in 2011 by acclaimed Brooklyn-based rapper Talib Kweli. Named in honor of Kweli’s paternal grandmother, Javotti Media aims to be a hub for independent thinkers and doers, releasing not only music but also films and books. The label is known for spotlighting socially conscious and innovative hip hop artists, with a roster that has included talents like Cory Mo, Jessica Care Moore, K'Valentine, and Brazilian MC Niko Is. Javotti Media also released compilation projects such as *Notes From The Underground*, showcasing a broad range of artists including Talib Kweli himself and other collaborators like Black Thought.

Javotti Media carries a legacy deeply rooted in the ethos of thoughtful lyricism and artistic integrity, reflecting Kweli’s own career as a leading figure in conscious hip hop. The label has been a platform to promote fresh voices and provide a creative space for independent artistry, blending traditional hip hop craftsmanship with innovative sounds—evident in recent compilations and projects that feature tracks like "Native Sons (Part 2)," "Capacidad," "Nice View," and "Fair Game".
