**Vennart** is the solo project of Mike Vennart, a British musician best known as the frontman of the critically adored progressive rock band Oceansize (active 1998–2011). After Oceansize disbanded, Vennart channeled his knack for intricate, emotive rock into his own work, blending alt-rock hooks with post-rock textures and a touch of experimental flair. His solo releases, including *To Cure a Blizzard Upon a Plastic Sea* (2020), showcase his signature balance of melodic warmth and cerebral guitar work, often drawing comparisons to acts like Deftones or Radiohead.

When he’s not crafting his own music, Vennart keeps busy as a touring guitarist for Biffy Clyro and collaborates in projects like British Theatre (with Oceansize bandmate Richard Ingram). His recent tracks, like the brooding *In The Dead, Dead Wood* or the cathartic *Forgiveness & The Grain*, prove he’s still pushing boundaries—moody, ambitious, and unafraid to get *weird* in all the best ways.
