He has also been involved in organizing European Intuitive Music Conferences and co-edits the journal "Improvised Music - Open Scores." His compositions often feature complex sound textures and improvisation, as seen in releases like "43 Minutes Free Solo Improvisation" and "Free Duo Improvisations."
As a performer, Bergstrøm-Nielsen plays the piano, organ, French horn, and various small instruments, and uses his voice in his compositions.
