Elly Zuiderveld

Elly Zuiderveld-Nieman, born on April 7, 1946, in Hilversum, the Netherlands, is a celebrated Dutch singer, actress, and television presenter. She gained widespread recognition as one half of the beloved folk duo Elly & Rikkert, alongside her husband Rikkert Zuiderveld. Elly started her musical journey early, winning the Cabaret der Onbekenden in 1965, which led to a record contract. A year later, she became known for singing the hit "Prikkebeen" with Boudewijn de Groot, a song that remains popular in the Netherlands to this day. After marrying Rikkert in 1968, the couple settled in the Betuwe region and began their long-running collaboration, blending heartfelt lyrics and folk melodies that have touched multiple generations.

Elly’s career spans decades and includes work as a solo artist, as well as collaborations that showcase her tender and sincere musical style.
