Pligten Kalder

Pligten Kalder is a Danish music trio known for their unique blend of styles, often incorporating elements of rock and schlager traditions with a tongue-in-cheek approach. The group consists of Torben Steno, a journalist and musician who plays the Optigan organ, Johan Olsen, the vocalist from Magtens Korridorer, and Peter Bech-Jessen, who contributes on saxophone and clarinet. Formed in 2007, Pligten Kalder initially started as a duo project between Steno and Olsen, with Bech-Jessen joining later to add depth to their sound. Their music often features catchy melodies and sentimental themes, reflecting their revival of schlager music with a modern twist.

Pligten Kalder has released several notable works, including their debut EP in 2007 and their debut album *Du Skulle Have Været Der Igår!* in 2014. The group is associated with other prominent Danish acts like Volbeat and L.O.C. Their live performances are highly anticipated, with upcoming shows like their concert at Hotel Cecil in Copenhagen.
