Juwan Rates is a Midwest house music innovator known for his solid mixing skills and exclusive track selection. Growing up in a music-loving home, Juwan was influenced by a wide range of genres, including hip-hop, disco, nu-wave, jazz, and house. He began playing house parties in the early 90s and eventually performed at underground loft parties in Chicago, where he honed his understanding of house music. His sets are a unique blend of cutting-edge house tracks, often featuring artists like Derrick Carter and Bob Sinclar. Juwan has released music on several labels, including Lingo Recordings, where he also serves as A&R Manager, showcasing his keen ear for talent. His recent releases include tracks like "All Good," "Your Love EP," and "FRESH LACES," further solidifying his presence in the house music scene.
