Circle Jerks

Circle Jerks are an iconic American punk rock band, hailing from the vibrant scene of Los Angeles, California. Formed in 1979 by vocalist Keith Morris and guitarist Greg Hetson, following Morris's departure from the seminal punk band Black Flag, the Circle Jerks quickly made their mark with their furious energy and irreverent humor. Along with bassist Roger Rogerson (replaced by Zander Schloss in later years) and drummer Lucky Lehrer, they were pivotal in defining the hardcore punk sound of the West Coast.

Their debut album, "Group Sex," released in 1980, is a cornerstone of hardcore punk, containing 14 blistering tracks in just 16 minutes, showcasing the band's ability to condense ferocious passion and intensity into bite-sized sonic explosions. Through the 1980s and early '90s, Circle Jerks released a string of influential records such as "Wild in the Streets" and "Golden Shower of Hits," leaving an indelible mark on punk rock and its subculture. Despite multiple hiatuses and lineup changes, the band's legacy persists with their music being remastered and celebrated, such as the 2021 remaster of "Wild in the Streets" and the "Group Sex (TRUST Edition)," ensuring their raucous anthems continue to inspire new generations of punk fans.
