Born on February 28, 1969, in Palakol, Andhra Pradesh, Srinivas was a virtuoso who took the mandolin, a relatively obscure instrument in Indian classical music, and adapted it to seamlessly express the nuances of Carnatic ragas. Srinivas debuted as a professional musician at the tender age of nine. His prolific career was marked by a series of successful albums that showcased the depth and agility of his musicianship.
