Pupa Nas T

Pupa Nas T, whose real name is Anastas Hackett, is a New York-based producer and drummer known for his influential work in reggae, dancehall, and soca music. He gained significant recognition after moving to Trinidad & Tobago in 1998 to collaborate with soca star Machel Montano, eventually becoming an in-house producer and engineer at Caribbean Sound Basin. His best-known work is the iconic soca house track "Work," co-written with Harkness Taitt and featuring the powerful vocals of Denise Belfon, which first emerged in 2000 and has since inspired multiple remixes and a lasting legacy on dancefloors across generations. Pupa Nas T's deep roots in Caribbean music and his role in producing and shaping this classic track have cemented his place in the genre's modern history.

In addition to his production career, Pupa Nas T has also been involved in notable legal matters related to his music, including a copyright lawsuit connected to the sampling of "Work" in another artist’s release.
