Yesh

Yesh is a Tibetan-Swiss multidisciplinary artist known for her genre-defying sound and wide vocal range. Born and raised in Switzerland to Tibetan parents, she grew up in the Pestalozzi Children's Village, where cultural exchange and music were integral parts of her upbringing. This diverse environment, with influences from various cultures, significantly shaped her artistic voice. Yesh's music often blends pop and electronic elements, reflecting her fluid artistic expression. She has released several singles, including "Lhamo," which draws inspiration from a traditional Tibetan song her mother used to sing. Yesh is also involved in other creative projects, such as her work with the collective XENOMETOK and her role in the upcoming Tibetan indie film "Dharamsala."

Yesh's creative practice is deeply influenced by her diasporic identity and her experiences between New York City and Switzerland. Her work explores themes of identity, belonging, grief, and memory, often drawing on Buddhist teachings and rituals. Yesh values collaboration and has worked with various artists and producers, contributing to her evolving storytelling style. She is currently working on her debut album, which promises to be a significant step in her artistic journey.
