Lorin Sklamberg

Lorin Sklamberg is a vocalist, accordionist, and founding member of the Grammy-winning Klezmatics, one of the most prominent klezmer bands in the world. Known for his soulful, expressive voice and deep knowledge of Yiddish music and culture, Sklamberg has been a key figure in the klezmer revival since the 1980s. In addition to his work with the Klezmatics, he's collaborated on a range of interdisciplinary and cross-cultural projects, including recordings like Tsuker-zis and Saints & Tzadiks, where he blends traditional Jewish sounds with other musical traditions.

Sklamberg is also a noted music archivist and ethnomusicologist, having worked with the YIVO Institute for Jewish Research, helping to preserve rare and historic Jewish recordings. His passion for Yiddish music is matched by his skill as a performer and interpreter, making him a beloved figure in both traditional and contemporary Jewish music circles.
