Guano Apes

Guano Apes is a German rock band formed in 1994 in Göttingen, Germany, by lead vocalist Sandra Nasić, guitarist Henning Rümenapp, bassist Stefan Ude, and drummer Dennis Poschwatta. Their energetic blend of alternative rock, nu metal, and crossover elements propelled them to fame in the late 1990s, particularly after the success of their 1997 debut album, "Proud Like a God." The album featured the hit single "Open Your Eyes," which became a staple on European charts and helped establish the band internationally.

After a string of successful albums, including "Don't Give Me Names" (2000), "Walking on a Thin Line" (2003), and "Live" (2003), which showcased their dynamic live performances, the band announced a hiatus in 2005. During this break, members pursued various solo projects and ventures. However, Guano Apes made a strong return with "Bel Air" in 2011 and went on to release "Offline" in 2014, reaffirming their position in the rock scene. To mark the 20th anniversary of their landmark first album, they released "Proud Like a God XX" in 2017, which included re-recorded versions of their classic hits and some new tracks, demonstrating their lasting appeal and evolution as a band. The Guano Apes maintain a legacy as one of the prominent forces in European alternative rock with a fervent fanbase and a catalogue of songs that continue to energize audiences worldwide.
