Mictlantecuhtli is a black metal band from Mexico City, formed in 2013. Their music is characterized by its raw, aggressive sound, and its lyrics often explore themes of ancient Mexican mythology and the occult. The band has released five full-length albums, including "As Eagles Descend" (2018) and "A Serpent Twined in Shadow" (2020). Mictlantecuhtli has toured extensively throughout Mexico and Europe, and has shared the stage with bands such as Mayhem, Watain, and Marduk.
