Rad Cat, real name Christian Ariz (or Ariza), is a first-generation Mexican-American DJ and producer hailing from San Diego, California. Growing up immersed in traditional Mexican music like Banda and Corridos thanks to his musical family, he picked up the electric guitar around age 12 (or 15, per some accounts), falling hard for pop-punk bands like Blink-182 before discovering electronic music via deadmau5's "Ghosts 'n' Stuff" in high school, which flipped his world and sparked his production journey.

Starting as a hobby with a viral 2016 blackbear "idfc" remix that landed collabs with big names like blackbear, Kevin Gates ("Showin' Up"), Travis Mills, and Mike Posner, Rad Cat quickly leveled up, blending hip-hop beats, future bass, disco vibes, R&B melodies, and live guitar riffs into his upbeat, self-expressive sound. A proud Latinx artist who embraced being "weird" despite school bullies, he's dropped hits like "just a rush," "what u want!," "lose control," and EPs such as *All I Need * *, with his first live gig a wild mainstage set at CRSSD Festival in his hometown—now boasting over 500 million streams and upcoming shows like one in San Francisco.
